Why Whistler Blackcomb?

Because Whistler Blackcomb is the biggest and most varied ski resort in North America, with legendary big mountain terrain where in early December huge amounts of powder already lie (the so-called Pacific Northwest dry snow).

Unlike crowded European resorts in December, Whistler has gigantic space (over 8,100 acres of terrain, glaciers, spectacular bowls such as Whistler Bowl and Spanky’s Ladder, and forested zones), which in a small group of 6–8 under the eye of the Pro Camp trainer guarantees uncompromising lines and safety.

Snow, terrain and on-site care

The proximity of the Pacific Ocean combined with frosty continental currents generates massive powder snowfalls in December. During the camp (3–12 December 2027) you get daily coaching support, original correction of your deep-snow riding technique led directly by the Pro Camp trainer, training in moving through exposed alpine terrain and a precise selection of the best lines.

The contribution includes 7 days of intensive riding under the eye of the trainer and local guides, 8 nights in apartments in Whistler Village and transfers from Vancouver airport. Flights, the ski pass and meals are at your own expense.

Comparison of camps and costs

How does the Freeride Transfer Club contribution compare with agencies from Poland and abroad?

Our club camp is based on a non-profit formula. Our regular contribution (€3,080) is about 25% lower than the contribution of the freeride tourism agency from Zakopane (€4,090) and about 15% lower than that of the off-piste agency from Kraków (€3,630, 2026 edition). Why does Whistler Blackcomb in December beat other regions of the world?

When choosing a freeride trip in December it is worth comparing Canada with other iconic destinations available in this period:

Destination Terrain and amount of snow Crowds Estimated trip cost Pure freeride / notes
Canada (Whistler Blackcomb) – our camp Stable, deep powder (Pacific Northwest), excellent snowpack in the higher parts, huge terrain No crowds compared with Europe €2,606 – €3,080 Ideal December timing. Downside: a long transatlantic flight and time-zone change
Japan (Hokkaido) Legendary, light powder (“Japow”), but in early December snowfalls are often only getting started Large (Hokkaido can be overcrowded) €3,360 – €3,400 (agencies from Poland, January trip) Exceptional culture and snow, but in December snowpack stability is often lower than in January / February, high flight costs
Alps (e.g. Austria / Switzerland) In December the off-piste snowpack is often unpredictable and thin Huge in resorts in the pre-Christmas period Short drive or a cheap flight from Poland High risk of riding over rocks
